Delta Balustrades, manufacturer of bespoke handrail systems, is delivering a major project at the new £100 million Co-op headquarters in Manchester.
The contract will see the Sandbach-based company manufacture and install almost 400m of bespoke handrails for the external terraces and around 800m of its Orbis balustrade system on internal staircases, worth a total of £0.5 million.
Appointed by BAM Construction and working to specifications by 3D Reid architects, Delta Balustrades has been praised for its speed of installation, with BAM’s site manager commenting: “I am impressed with the Delta experience, installation progress being very quick with a positive approach, helping to accelerate the project.”
A Delta Balustrades spokesperson commented: “This fits clearly into our current growth development of servicing the larger contracts for the ‘top contractors’ and we are delighted that the quality of our products has been recognised to be used on such a major landmark development.”
