Established in 1984, 2014 marks the 30th anniversary for British-run, family owned balustrade manufacturer, Delta Balustrades.

Today the company has more than 35 employees, six of which are family members and has been involved with the design and installation of balustrades and handrails to thousands of UK building projects.

The Sandbach-based manufacturer prides itself on being a market leader in the building products sector and has supplied balustrade systems to some high profile building projects such as York Minster, Southmead Hospital and the multi-award winning Co-Operative Group’s HQ in Manchester – one of the most sustainable buildings in Europe.

Stephen Boyt, founder of Delta Balustrades commented: “As a family-owned business this milestone is a huge achievement.

“Over the years we have worked hard to produce the best balustrade systems as well as having strong ethics and values. We believe our success lies in consistently exceeding customer expectations and offering real value for money.”

Always on the lookout for something to set the company apart from competitors, Delta Balustrades launched its nTechnology finishing process last year to enhance the long-term aesthetics of its products. This new process meant the company had to invest in a new facility at its headquarters as well as a training programme on the application method, to ensure that the new treatment could be integrated into the company’s standard manufacturing processes.

“We are always looking for ways to grow and improve our company,” adds Stephen. “Choosing to implement a process like nTechnology, sets us apart from other manufacturers and shows how passionate we are about our industry and the service we provide.”

Innovation in the balustrade sector is something Delta Balustrades would like to keep at the forefront of their business agenda, whilst maintaining its position as the most responsible, innovative and customer focused balustrade company.

Stephen concludes: “There are a number of plans in progress including standardising some of our product lines and the way they are manufactured so that projects that are restricted on budget can still achieve the right look, at the right price, without compromising on quality. We are renowned for our expertise in this field and have committed ourselves to sustainability and future growth.
